I recently helped to plan a beachy bridal shower for one of my very best friends, who was married in Hawaii this summer. When the two other girls in the bridal party brought up the idea of a beach theme for the shower, I was immediately on board for a couple reasons. A beachy bridal shower was perfect for this particular friend, but on top of that, this theme is also relatively easy to do really well.
I cannot claim that I did even half of the work involved with this party. The bride’s sister was an absolute rock star and was able to pull most of it together with support from us and the rest of the family. In the end, I was ecstatic with the result. As you can see below, this event ended up being a classy beachy affair, with a couple inappropriate details… which is exactly what we wanted!
The key with a beach theme is to choose bright colours that pop against sandy neutrals. We used Tiffany blue – a favourite colour of the bride’s. This colour shows really well against the sand, white, and silver that was present throughout the event decor.
