My best friend turned 30 recently, so obviously I threw her an awesome party. Her birthday is in October and is typically overshadowed by Halloween, but I decided to use the time of year to my advantage. Myself, along with her mom and a couple other family members, put together a fun Fortune Telling party to celebrate this big milestone.
I recently helped to plan a beachy bridal shower for one of my very best friends, who was married in Hawaii this summer. When the two other girls in the bridal party brought up the idea of a beach theme for the shower, I was immediately on board for a couple reasons. A beachy bridal shower was perfect for this particular friend, but on top of that, this theme is also relatively easy to do really well.
Fundraising galas are something I always have a lot of fun coordinating. There are plenty of moving pieces to keep me challenged, and raising money for a worthy cause is all kinds of rewarding. I had the pleasure of working on a Roaring Twenties gala with my friends over at the Frank Flaman Foundation recently, and it was no exception.
Throwing a murder mystery party is an awesome, unique event idea. I’ve thrown a couple of these and they never fail to be completely entertaining; there’s something alluring about pretending you’re someone else for an evening. This one, though, was one of my favourites of them all.
At the beginning of June, I worked with a client on her husband’s birthday party. It was his 50th and that is a big year, so even though this is an annual event for them, she wanted to make this one even bigger and better! As a result, she chose a poker theme and decided to do a bit more with decor than usual. I addition, I brought in a food truck to cater the event so that they could both enjoy the day a little more.
I put together decor for an Owl-Themed Birthday Party. This low-budget, last minute event turned out being pretty darn adorable. Read on to see what I did!
I had wanted to host a tea party for quite some time, and finally did so for my best friend’s birthday. This wasn’t just any tea party though; it was a Mad Hatter Tea Party. I had a lot of fun piecing together mismatched teapots and teacups, Alice in Wonderland quotes, and a palette of soft, feminine tones.
