Community Event: Salisbury in Bloom

I was lucky enough recently to help plan and coordinate a spring community event at Salisbury Village in Sherwood Park. I’ve worked with my friends at Avillia Developments for a few years now, and in that time I have been able to get to know Salisbury Village well. This area is a beautiful residential and commercial development just south of Wye Road in Sherwood Park, and it’s always a pleasure to spend time here.

This community event was a relatively simple afternoon. We were looking for an opportunity to provide an extra push for interested people to come visit Salisbury Village and see everything the area has to offer. Since it was early summer, we gave away bedding plants to all attendees, purchased from Salisbury Greenhouse. I brought in a bouncy castle, and hot dogs from Fat Frank’s, and guests were encouraged to visit the showhomes.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day in Sherwood Park for the event itself. This was in stark contrast to the last event I did there, which you can read about in You Can’t Control Everything – An Important Event Planning Lesson. I’ve put together a collection of photos from Salisbury in Bloom below. Check them out!

Have you ever run a community event like this one? I love having the opportunity to see and share everything that new communities like Salisbury Village have to offer,.

Cheers,

KG
